A bad thing about TBS sports...
Sonic is a restaurant chain that advertises quite a bit with the Turner broadcasting companies, including Adult Swim. Usually the spots are intercepted before I see them here in Massachusetts, since the nearing Sonic is in Pennsylvania. With the baseball playoffs being held on TBS, I'm seeing a lot of Sonic commercials.

The first Sonic restaurant was called Top Hat, and it was in Shawnee, Oklahoma where my mother grew up and much of her family still lives. Sonic was a part of my life since I was a kid. It's one of the things that make me homesick.

Alamogordo has *two* Sonic Drive-In restaurants. I only tried one of them this weekend. Yes, I'm on a diet, but I was so worked up over all of the ads I've seen during the playoffs. I had to deal with it.

I am one of marketing's junkies.
